How to Get Here

Navigate to Admin Panel > Advertising > Statistics

Understanding the Page

When you open the Statistics page, you will see four main areas that each tell you something different about your advertising performance. The page loads your data automatically, so you may see a brief loading animation before the numbers appear.

Summary Cards

At the top of the page, four colored cards give you a quick snapshot of your advertising system:

Card What It Tells You
Active Sponsors How many sponsors are currently active on your site, plus the number of active sub-sponsors
Active Banners How many banner campaigns are currently running, plus the number of active banner zones
Total Impressions The total number of times all your banners have been shown to visitors (all time), along with total clicks and your overall click-through rate
Recent Activity How your banners have performed over the last 30 days, including impressions, clicks, and click-through rate

Performance Over Time

Below the summary cards on the left side of the page, you will find a table showing your daily banner performance. Each row represents one day and shows how many impressions and clicks your banners received, along with the click-through rate for that day.

The click-through rate is color-coded to help you spot trends at a glance:

  • Green means 1% or higher, which is considered good performance
  • Orange means below 1%, which may need your attention

Top Performers

On the right side of the page, you will see a ranked list of your best-performing items. This section has three tabs you can switch between:

Tab What It Shows
Banners Your individual banners ranked by the most clicks, showing which sponsor each banner belongs to
Sponsors Your sponsors ranked by total clicks across all their banners
Zones Your banner placement zones ranked by total clicks

The top three items in each list are highlighted with a gold medal icon so you can quickly see your best performers.

Revenue and Quick Actions

At the bottom of the page, you will find two sections side by side:

  • Top Revenue Sponsors on the left shows your sponsors ranked by their monthly advertising budget
  • Quick Actions on the right gives you shortcut links to jump directly to other advertising management pages

Common Tasks

How to Check Your Overall Advertising Performance

Use this when you want a quick health check of your advertising system.

  1. Open the Statistics page.
  2. Look at the four summary cards at the top.
  3. Check the Total Impressions card for your all-time numbers.
  4. Check the Recent Activity card to see how the last 30 days compare.

Tip: If your recent activity numbers look much lower than usual, it could mean a banner has been paused or a zone is not displaying properly.

How to View Performance for a Specific Time Period

Use this to analyze trends over different time ranges.

  1. Scroll down to the Performance Over Time section.
  2. Click one of the three time range buttons at the top of the section:
  • 7 Days for a quick recent snapshot
  • 30 Days for a monthly view
  • 90 Days for a longer-term trend
  1. Review the daily breakdown in the table below.

Tip: Compare the 7-day view with the 30-day view to see if performance is improving or declining recently.

How to Find Your Best-Performing Banners

Use this to identify which banners, sponsors, or zones are driving the most engagement.

  1. Scroll to the Top Performers section on the right side of the page.
  2. Click the Banners tab to see individual banner performance.
  3. Look at the click count and click-through rate for each banner.
  4. Switch to the Sponsors tab to see which sponsors are performing best overall.
  5. Switch to the Zones tab to see which placement areas on your site get the most clicks.

How to Check Sponsor Revenue

Use this to see how much your sponsors are spending on advertising each month.

  1. Scroll to the Top Revenue Sponsors section at the bottom left of the page.
  2. Review the list of sponsors and their monthly budgets.

Note: Only sponsors who have a monthly budget set will appear in this list. If a sponsor is missing, you need to set their budget on the Sponsors Management page.

How to Navigate to Other Advertising Pages

You can quickly jump to related advertising pages in two ways:

  • Use the navigation buttons in the page header to go to Sponsors, Banners, Add Banner, Banner Zones, or Sub-Sponsors
  • Use the Quick Actions panel at the bottom right of the page for the same shortcuts

Understanding Your Metrics

Here is what each number on the page means and why it matters:

Metric What It Means Why It Matters
Impressions The number of times a banner was displayed to a visitor on your site Shows how much visibility your banners are getting
Clicks The number of times a visitor clicked on a banner Shows how engaging your banners are
Click-Through Rate (CTR) The percentage of impressions that resulted in a click The best single measure of banner effectiveness
Monthly Budget The amount a sponsor has allocated to spend each month Helps you track advertising revenue

What Makes a Good Click-Through Rate?

CTR Rating What to Do
Above 2% Excellent Keep doing what you are doing
1% to 2% Good Solid performance, minor tweaks could help
0.5% to 1% Below average Consider testing new banner designs or placements
Below 0.5% Poor Review your banner creative, placement, and targeting

Tips for New Users

Tip:
  • Check the Statistics page at least once a week to catch problems early.
  • Compare different time periods to spot trends. A sudden drop in impressions could mean a banner or zone has been deactivated.
  • If a banner has lots of impressions but very few clicks, try a different design or move it to a more visible zone.
  • If you see no data at all, make sure you have at least one active banner assigned to an active zone.
  • Use the Top Performers section to identify your most successful banners and create similar ones.

Troubleshooting

All statistics show zero or "No data available"

What you see: Every card shows 0, and the tables say no data is available.

How to fix it:

  1. Go to Admin Panel > Advertising > Banners and check that you have at least one active banner.
  2. Go to Admin Panel > Advertising > Banner Zones and make sure at least one zone is active.
  3. Verify that your banners are assigned to active zones.
  4. Wait for visitors to view pages with banners. Statistics will begin appearing once banners start receiving impressions.

The revenue section is empty

What you see: The Top Revenue Sponsors section says "No revenue data available."

How to fix it:

  1. Go to Admin Panel > Advertising > Sponsors.
  2. Edit each sponsor and set their Monthly Budget amount.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Return to the Statistics page and the revenue section will now display your sponsors.

The page shows an error message

What you see: A red error alert appears briefly on the page.

How to fix it:

  1. Refresh the page. This resolves most temporary errors.
  2. If the error continues, log out of the admin panel and log back in.
  3. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.

Statistics seem outdated or incorrect

What you see: Numbers do not match what you expected, or data does not seem to update.

How to fix it:

  1. Press Ctrl+F5 (or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) to do a hard refresh of the page.
  2. Check that your banners are set to Active status.
  3. Verify that your banner zones are enabled and placed on public pages.

Top Performers list is not showing all banners

What you see: Some banners are missing from the Top Performers list.

How to fix it: The Top Performers list only shows banners that have received at least one impression. Banners with zero impressions are not included. Make sure your banners are active and assigned to zones that are displayed on your site.
