Category Management

What This Page Does

This page lets you create and manage the categories that organize your site's content. Categories group your videos, galleries, and webcam performers into browsable sections so visitors can find what they are looking for. You can add new categories, upload images for them, control which types of content each category includes, and track how much traffic each category receives.

How to Get Here

Navigate to Admin Panel > Categories

You can also reach this page by clicking Categories in the sidebar menu or from the Dashboard.

Understanding the Page

When you open the Category Management page, you will see several areas.

Statistics Bar

At the top of the page, eight cards show a quick summary of your category data:

Card What It Shows
Total Categories How many categories you have created
Total Galleries The combined number of galleries across all categories
Total Videos The combined number of videos across all categories
TGP Clicks Total gallery click count
TGP True Clicks Verified gallery clicks from actual visitors
Video Clicks Total video view count
Video True Clicks Verified video clicks from actual visitors
Camgirls True Clicks Verified webcam performer clicks from actual visitors
Tip: "True Clicks" represent actual visitor activity and are the most accurate measure of real traffic. Use these numbers when evaluating how well a category is performing.

  2. Click Add Image (or Change Image if one already exists).
  3. A popup window opens. Choose a JPG, PNG, or GIF image from your computer.

  7. Watch the preview on the right to see how the final image will look.
  8. Click Save Cropped Image when you are happy with the selection.

Skim Settings (Reserved for Future Use)

This section contains settings that are currently read-only and reserved for a future update. You do not need to change anything here.

How Categories Affect Your Public Site

The settings you configure here directly control what visitors see:

  • Category names and images appear on your site's category browsing pages, giving visitors a visual way to explore your content.
  • Hidden categories are completely invisible to visitors. Use this to temporarily remove a category without deleting it.
  • Content type toggles determine whether a category shows up in video browsing, gallery browsing, or webcam sections. If you disable Video Support for a category, it will not appear in video filters.
  • Locked categories still display their existing content but do not accept new submissions.
  • Keywords improve your site's search engine visibility for each category.

Tips for New Users

Tip:
  • Start with a small number of well-defined categories. You can always add more later.
  • Upload images for all your categories. Categories with images look much more professional and are more inviting to visitors.
  • Use the True Clicks statistics to understand which categories get the most real visitor attention.
  • Review your categories periodically. Remove or hide empty categories that clutter your site.
  • Before deleting a category, reassign its content to another category so nothing goes missing on your site.

Troubleshooting

Category image does not appear after uploading

What you see: You uploaded and cropped an image, but the category still shows a placeholder icon.

How to fix it:

  1. Try refreshing the page in your browser.
  2. Clear your browser cache and reload.
  3. Try uploading the image again. Make sure you complete the crop step and click Save Cropped Image.
  4. If the problem continues, contact your system administrator.

"Please select a crop area first" message

What you see: When you try to save a cropped image, a popup message tells you to select a crop area first.

How to fix it:

  1. Click and drag on the image to draw a selection box around the area you want to use.
  2. A selection should appear automatically when the crop tool opens. If it did not, simply click and drag to create one.
  3. Once you see the green selection box on the image and a preview on the right, click Save Cropped Image.

Statistics are not updating

What you see: The numbers in the statistics cards seem outdated or incorrect.

How to fix it:

  1. Click the Update Stats button in the action bar to force a refresh.
  2. Wait a few seconds for the recalculation to finish.
  3. The statistics should update with current data.

Note: Statistics are cached and refresh automatically every hour. If you just added new content, click Update Stats to see the latest numbers right away.

Category not appearing on the public site

What you see: You created a category but visitors cannot find it on your site.

How to fix it:

  1. Go to Admin Panel > Categories and click Edit Category on the missing category.
  2. Make sure the Hide checkbox is unchecked.
  3. Make sure at least one content type is enabled (Gallery Support, Video Support, or Webcams Support).
  4. Check that the category has content assigned to it. Empty categories may not display on some pages.
  5. Click Save Changes after making any adjustments.

Changes are not saving (Demo Mode)

What you see: You try to add, edit, or delete a category but nothing happens. An orange banner may appear at the top of the page.

How to fix it:
The orange banner means your site is running in demonstration mode, which prevents any changes. Contact your system administrator to disable demo mode so you can make changes.
