Enhanced Video Uploader
What This Page Does
This page lets you upload videos to your site one at a time. You can add titles, descriptions, categories, performer tags, and control who can watch each video. The uploader handles large files reliably and automatically detects your video's resolution, duration, and other details so you do not have to enter them manually.

How to Get Here
Navigate to Admin Panel > Videos > Enhanced Video Upload
Understanding the Page
When you open this page, you see an upload area at the top and six tabs that organize all the information you can enter about your video. You do not need to fill in every tab -- only the video file and a title are required.
The Six Tabs
The page is divided into six tabs, each covering a different aspect of your video:
Click any tab name to switch between them. The active tab is highlighted in green with a gold underline.
The Submit Button
The submit button appears at the bottom of the page. It stays greyed out until you successfully upload a video file. Once your file is uploaded, the button becomes active and you can submit your video.
Common Tasks
How to Upload a Video
This is the core task on this page. Follow these steps to get a video onto your site.
- Open the File Upload tab (it is selected by default).
- Drag your video file onto the upload area, or click the upload area to open your file browser and select a file.
- Watch the progress bar as your file uploads. Large files are uploaded in small pieces, so even if your connection is slow, the upload can recover.
- Wait for the upload to finish. You will see a green checkmark and a summary of your file, including the filename, file size, and upload status.
- Below the file summary, the system displays automatically detected information about your video, such as duration, resolution, and quality. Review this to make sure it looks correct.
- Click the Basic Info tab.
- Type a Video Title. This is the only required field besides the video file itself.
- Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
- Wait for the page to reload with a success message showing your new video's ID number.

Tips for New Users
- Start simple. Upload a file, add a title, and submit. You can always edit the video later to add more details.
- Use categories generously. Assigning multiple relevant categories helps visitors find your videos through browsing and search.
- Tag your performers. Linking performers to videos makes their profile pages more useful and helps with search.
- Let SEO auto-fill do the work. The system fills in most SEO fields for you. Only customize them if you have a specific reason.
- Check the Technical tab. A quick glance confirms your video was analyzed correctly and helps you spot any issues before publishing.
- Use Featured sparingly. Marking too many videos as Featured dilutes the impact. Save it for your best content.
Troubleshooting
The upload does not start or fails immediately
What you see: You drag a file onto the upload area (or select one), but nothing happens or you get an error about the file format.
How to fix it:
- Check that your file is one of the supported formats: MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV, FLV, WebM, MKV, TS, M4V, 3GP, or F4V.
- Make sure the file is not larger than the maximum allowed size (usually 2 GB).
- Try a different browser if the issue persists.
The upload stops partway through
What you see: The progress bar moves forward but then stops, or you see a network error message.
How to fix it:
- Check your internet connection.
- Try uploading the file again. The system uploads in small pieces, so a temporary connection drop means you need to start over.
- If the problem keeps happening with large files, try uploading a smaller file first to confirm the system is working.
- If small files work but large ones do not, contact your administrator -- a server timeout setting may need adjustment.
The video was uploaded but does not appear on the site
What you see: You got a success message after uploading, but the video is not showing on your site.
How to fix it:
- Go to Admin Panel > Videos > Video Management and find your video.
- Check the video's status:
- Processing -- The video is still being converted. This is normal and can take several minutes for large files. Check back shortly.
- Error -- Something went wrong during processing. Contact your administrator for help.
- If videos consistently stay in a processing state and never appear, the background processing system may not be running. Contact your administrator.
The submit button stays greyed out
What you see: You have filled in all the information, but the submit button at the bottom is not clickable.
How to fix it:
- Go back to the File Upload tab.
- Make sure your video file uploaded successfully. You should see a green checkmark and file details.
- If the upload failed or was not started, upload your video file again.
You see "Video title is required" when submitting
What you see: An alert pops up saying the title is required, and the page jumps to the Basic Info tab.
How to fix it:
- Type a title in the Video Title field on the Basic Info tab.
- Click Submit again.
Performer search returns no results
What you see: You type a performer's name but no suggestions appear.
How to fix it:
- Make sure you have typed at least 2 characters.
- Try a different spelling or a shorter version of the name.
- If the performer is not in your system yet, click + Create New Model to add them.
The sub-sponsor dropdown is empty after selecting a sponsor
What you see: You selected a primary sponsor, but the sub-sponsor dropdown shows no options.
How to fix it:
- Not all sponsors have sub-sponsors. If the dropdown is empty, there are simply no sub-sponsors set up for that sponsor.
- To add sub-sponsors, go to the Sponsors Management page and create them under the appropriate primary sponsor.
The page shows "Demo Mode" and you cannot submit
What you see: An orange banner at the top says the page is in demonstration mode, and the form cannot be submitted.
How to fix it:
- This means the page has been set to read-only for demonstration purposes.
- Contact your administrator to disable demo mode so you can upload videos.
