Financial Reports

What This Page Does

This page gives you a complete picture of the money flowing through your site. You can see how much revenue your platform is earning, how much your creators are making, and track every transaction -- tips, subscriptions, pay-per-view unlocks, token purchases, and withdrawals. It is your go-to dashboard for understanding the financial health of your site.

How to Get Here

Navigate to Admin Panel > Reports > Financial Reports

Understanding the Page

When you open Financial Reports, you will see several sections stacked down the page. Here is what each area does.

Tokens vs. USD Toggle

At the top of the page, you will find two buttons: Tokens and USD. By default, all amounts are shown as token counts. Click USD to see everything converted to dollar amounts instead. Click Tokens to switch back.

Tip: Use the USD view when you need to think in real-world money, such as during tax season or when reviewing payouts.

Date Range and Filters

Below the toggle, you will see date fields and a dropdown filter.

Filter What It Does
Date From Sets the start date for the report. Defaults to the first day of the current month.
Date To Sets the end date for the report. Defaults to today.
Transaction Type Lets you show only a specific kind of transaction in the history table (for example, only Tips or only Subscriptions).

After making your selections, click Apply Filters to update the page.

Note: The transaction type filter only changes what appears in the Transaction History table at the bottom of the page. The summary cards at the top always show totals across all transaction types.

Platform Earnings Your platform's share of revenue from tips, subscriptions, and pay-per-view content.
Creator Earnings The total amount that belongs to your creators after the platform fee.
Pending Withdrawals How much money creators have requested to withdraw but has not been paid out yet.
Completed Payouts How much has already been paid out to creators.

Expandable Detail Sections

Below the summary cards, you will find six collapsible sections. Click any section header to expand it and see more detailed information.

1. Transaction Insights -- Shows your largest tip, daily tip averages, how many first-time versus returning spenders you have, and what percentage of purchased tokens are actually being spent.

2. Subscription Health -- Shows how many active subscriptions you have, how many were cancelled (and the cancellation rate), what percentage of subscribers have auto-renew turned on, and the average subscription length.

3. Withdrawal Metrics -- Shows pending payouts, the average withdrawal amount, how long it takes to process withdrawals, and a breakdown by payment method (such as PayPal, bank transfer, or crypto).

Note: The Pending Payouts figure always shows the current outstanding amount regardless of your date filter, so you always know what you owe.

4. Revenue Trends -- Compares your revenue week-over-week and month-over-month, and identifies your best and slowest days of the week for revenue.

5. Tips by Content Type -- Breaks down tips by what type of content they were given on (videos, galleries, posts, live streams, or profile pages).

6. Token Velocity -- Shows how tokens move through your platform over its entire lifetime: how many were purchased, how many were spent, the turnover rate, and how many are still sitting unspent in user and creator accounts.

Tip: A healthy platform has a high turnover rate (tokens being spent, not just sitting idle) and manageable unspent balances. Check this section regularly to understand your platform's token economy.

Revenue Breakdown

This section splits your revenue into two views:

  • Revenue by Source -- Shows how much came from tips, subscriptions, and pay-per-view unlocks.
  • Platform vs. Creator Split -- Shows the platform fee percentage and how revenue is divided between the platform (your income) and creators.

Charts

Five visual charts help you spot trends and patterns at a glance:

Chart What It Shows
Daily Revenue Trend A line chart tracking total volume, platform earnings, and creator earnings over time.
By Hour A pie chart showing which hours of the day generate the most spending.
By Month A pie chart showing revenue distribution across the last 12 months.
Revenue Details A breakdown of different revenue categories like PPV streams, tip goals, and per-minute tips.
Platform vs. Creator A doughnut chart visualizing the fee split between you and your creators.

Transaction History Table

At the bottom of the page, you will find a detailed list of every transaction. Each row shows:

Column What It Shows
Date When the transaction happened.

From The user who made the payment. Click their name to view their profile.
To The creator who received the payment. Click their name to view their profile.

Common Tasks

How to Check Your Platform Revenue for a Specific Period

  1. Set the Date From field to your desired start date.
  2. Set the Date To field to your desired end date.
  3. Click Apply Filters.
  4. Look at the Platform Earnings card for your total platform revenue.
  5. Switch to USD view if you want to see dollar amounts.

How to Download a Tax Report

Use this feature when you need financial data for tax filing.

  1. Find the Tax Season Export section near the top of the page.
  2. Select the year you need from the dropdown.
  3. Click the Tax Season Export button.
  4. A spreadsheet file downloads to your computer automatically.
Tip: The tax report includes six sections: cash flow, token liabilities, platform revenue, a net position summary, a monthly breakdown, and a tax summary with helpful notes. Share this file with your accountant.
Warning: If your site is running in demo mode, the tax export button will not generate a real file. You will see a demo mode message instead.

The downloaded report includes:

  • Cash Flow -- Money coming in (token purchases) vs. money going out (creator withdrawals).
  • Token Liabilities -- Unspent user balances and unwithdrawn creator earnings your platform currently owes.
  • Platform Revenue -- Your taxable income from tips, subscriptions, and PPV content, broken down by source.
  • Net Position -- Your overall financial position after accounting for liabilities.
  • Monthly Breakdown -- A month-by-month view of revenue for the selected year.
  • Tax Summary -- The final taxable income figure with important notes about what counts as taxable income.
Success: The report clearly separates your platform revenue (taxable income) from user deposits and creator payments, making it easier to file taxes accurately.

  1. Click the Top 100 Creators by Earnings button to see which creators earn the most.
  2. Click the Top 100 Users by Spending button to see which users spend the most.

  4. Click any name in the list to go to that person's detail page.
  5. Close the popup by clicking the X button, pressing Escape, or clicking outside the popup.
Note: These rankings are based on all-time totals, not just the date range you have selected.

How to Filter the Transaction History

  1. Scroll down to the Transaction History section.
  2. Select a transaction type from the Transaction Type dropdown (for example, Tips or Withdrawals).
  3. Click Apply Filters.
  4. The table now shows only that type of transaction.

Tips for New Users

Tip:
  • Start by checking the Platform Earnings card each week to stay on top of your revenue.
  • Use the Subscription Health section to watch your cancellation rate. A rising cancellation rate may mean you need to encourage creators to post more content.
  • Review the Token Velocity section monthly. If the unspent rate is very high, users are buying tokens but not spending them -- consider promoting creator content to encourage spending.
  • Download a Tax Season Export at the end of each quarter so you are always prepared for tax time.
  • Use the By Hour chart to find out when your users are most active, which can help you schedule promotions.

Troubleshooting

No transactions are showing up

What you see: The page loads but says "No transactions found" or the statistics cards all show zero.

How to fix it:

  1. Check that your date range is correct. Try expanding it to cover a longer period.
  2. Make sure the Transaction Type filter is set to All Types.
  3. If your site is new, there may simply be no transactions yet. Transactions appear once users start purchasing tokens and interacting with creators.

Charts are not displaying

What you see: The chart areas are blank or show an error.

How to fix it:

  1. Check your internet connection. The charts rely on an external service to load.
  2. If you use an ad blocker, try disabling it for your admin panel.
  3. Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, try a different web browser.

Tax export downloads an empty or very small file

What you see: You click the export button but the downloaded file has little or no data.

How to fix it:

  1. Make sure you selected a year that has transaction data. If your site launched in 2025, exporting a report for 2023 will have no data.
  2. Try selecting the current year and exporting again.

The page is loading slowly

What you see: The page takes a long time to appear, especially with a wide date range.

How to fix it:

  1. Narrow your date range. Instead of viewing an entire year, try one month at a time.
  2. Use the Transaction Type filter to reduce the number of records shown.

Demo mode message appears instead of the tax export

What you see: Instead of downloading a file, you see a page that says the system is in demo mode.

How to fix it:

  1. This means your site is running in demo mode, which disables the tax export for safety.
  2. Contact your developer or system administrator to switch off demo mode when you are ready to use the feature for real.
