Partner Control
What This Page Does
This page lets you manage partner accounts on your site. Partners are special submitters who can upload content with higher priority. You can set their permissions, control what categories they can submit to, send them emails, and track who has access to your admin panel.

Understanding Partner Permissions
When you check permission boxes for a partner, you're giving them access to specific admin panel pages. Here's what each permission does:
Understanding Rank, Max Submits, and Min Clicks
Rank (1-10)
The rank controls how prominently a partner's content appears on your site:
- Low ranks (1-3) - Their content appears less often
- Medium ranks (4-6) - Normal display priority
- High ranks (7-10) - Their content appears more prominently
Max Submits
This sets how many items a partner can submit in a single day:
- 0 - Unlimited submissions
- Any number - They can submit up to that many items per day
Min Clicks
This guarantees a partner's content stays visible until it gets a certain number of clicks:
- 0 - No minimum (content expires based on your site's normal rules)
- Any number - Content stays visible until it receives at least this many clicks
Blacklisted Partners
Partners whose email addresses appear on your blacklist show up with a red background and a "Blacklisted" badge.
[Screenshot: blacklisted-partner]
When you see a blacklisted partner:
- Go to Admin Panel > Blacklist to see why they're blacklisted.
- Decide whether to:
- Delete the partner account (if you don't want them submitting anymore)
- Remove them from the blacklist (if the issue is resolved)
Tips for New Users
- Start with low ranks - Give new partners a rank of 5-6 until you see the quality of their submissions.
- Use category restrictions - If a partner specializes in certain content types, limit them to those categories.
- Don't over-grant permissions - Only give partners the admin access they actually need.
- Back up regularly - Use the Export feature monthly to keep a backup of your partner list.
- Check blacklist weekly - Review blacklisted partners to keep your partner list clean.
- Use meaningful passwords - Change auto-generated passwords to something partners will remember.
Troubleshooting
Can't add a partner with a specific email
What you see: When you try to add a partner, you get an "Email already exists" message.
How to fix it: This email is already in your partner list. Scroll through the list to find the existing partner and edit their settings instead of adding them again.
Partners aren't receiving emails
What you see: You add a partner but they don't get the welcome email.
How to fix it:
- Check your spam folder first - sometimes these emails are flagged.
- Verify your site's email settings are configured correctly in Admin Panel > Settings.
- Ask the partner to check their spam folder.
- Try sending them a manual email using the Email Partners feature.
Changes aren't saving when I click Update
What you see: You edit partner information and click Update Partners, but nothing changes.
How to fix it:
- Make sure you're scrolling down far enough to find the Update Partners button.
- Check if demo mode is enabled - a yellow banner at the top means the page is read-only.
- Try refreshing the page and making your changes again.
A partner should have admin access but can't log in
What you see: You've checked permission boxes for a partner, but they can't access the admin panel.
How to fix it:
- Make sure you clicked Update Partners after checking the boxes.
- Verify the partner is using the correct password shown in the Pass column.
- Give them their email address and password and have them try logging in at your admin panel URL.
