Comments Moderation

What This Page Does

This page lets you review and manage comments that visitors leave on your site. Users can comment on videos, model profiles, and cam performer pages. Every comment lands here first so you can decide whether to approve it, reject it, or remove it before it appears publicly on your site.

How to Get Here

Navigate to Admin Panel > Comments

Understanding the Page

When you open the Comments Moderation page, you see a statistics bar at the top, a set of filters and bulk action buttons in the middle, and the full list of comments below.

Statistics Bar

Four cards at the top of the page give you a quick count of comments waiting for your review:

  • Pending Total -- The total number of comments across your entire site that need your attention.
  • Video Comments -- How many pending comments are on videos.
  • Model Comments -- How many pending comments are on model profiles.
  • Cam Comments -- How many pending comments are on cam performer pages.

Tip: Check the Pending Total regularly. If this number keeps growing, it means visitor comments are piling up and not appearing on your site, which can discourage people from participating.

Filters and Bulk Action Buttons

Below the statistics bar, you will find two dropdown filters and three action buttons. The filters let you narrow down which comments you see, and the buttons let you take action on multiple comments at once.

Comments List

The main area of the page shows all your comments in a table. Each row displays the comment type, who wrote it, what they said, which piece of content it belongs to, its current status, when it was posted, and buttons to take action on it.

Common Tasks

How to Review and Approve a Comment

When visitors leave comments, those comments start out hidden from your site until you approve them.

  1. Open the Comments Moderation page.
  2. The page automatically shows Pending comments first.
  3. Read through the comment text in the Comment column.
  4. If the comment is appropriate, click the Approve button on that row.
  5. The comment status updates immediately. The comment is now visible to everyone on your site.

How to Reject a Comment

If a comment is inappropriate but you want to keep a record of it, reject it instead of deleting it.

  1. Find the comment you want to reject.
  2. Click the Reject button on that row.
  3. The comment is hidden from your site but remains in your records. You can find it later using the Rejected status filter.

How to Delete a Comment

If you want to remove a comment entirely from your moderation queue, delete it.

  1. Find the comment you want to remove.
  2. Click the Delete button on that row.
  3. The comment is removed from the active list. You can still find it by switching to the Deleted status filter if needed.

Warning: Deleted comments are kept in your records but are no longer visible on your site. This cannot be undone from this page.

How to Handle Multiple Comments at Once

When you have many comments to process, bulk actions save you time.

  1. Check the boxes next to each comment you want to act on. To select all comments on the current page, check the box in the header row.
  2. Click one of the three bulk action buttons:
  • Approve Selected -- Makes all selected comments visible on your site.
  • Reject Selected -- Hides all selected comments from your site.
  • Delete Selected -- Removes all selected comments.
  1. A confirmation message appears, and the page refreshes to show the updated list.

Tip: Bulk actions are a fast way to clear out spam. Filter by Pending, scan for obvious spam, select those comments, and click Delete Selected.

How to View the Content a Comment Belongs To

Each comment is tied to a specific video, model, or cam performer on your site.

  1. Look at the Content column in the comment row.
  2. Click the link to open that video or model page in a new tab.
  3. This helps you see the comment in context before deciding whether to approve or reject it.

How to Identify Replies

Some comments are replies to other comments rather than top-level posts.

  1. Look below the comment text for a note that says Reply to # followed by a number.
  2. This tells you the comment is part of a conversation thread.
  3. Each reply must be approved or rejected on its own. Approving or rejecting a parent comment does not automatically affect its replies.

Filtering by Status

Use the Status dropdown to control which comments appear in the list:

Filter What It Shows
Pending Comments waiting for your review (shown by default)
Approved Comments that are live on your site
Rejected Comments you have hidden from visitors
Deleted Comments you have removed
All Every comment regardless of status

Filtering by Content Type

Use the Content Type dropdown to see comments for only one type of content:

Filter What It Shows
All Types Comments from videos, models, and cam performers combined
Videos Only comments left on videos
Models Only comments left on model profiles
Cam Performers Only comments left on cam performer pages

You can combine both filters. For example, set Status to Pending and Content Type to Videos to see only video comments that need your review.

Understanding Status Colors

Each comment has a color-coded status badge so you can see its state at a glance:

Status Color What It Means
Pending Yellow Waiting for you to review it. Not visible on your site.
Approved Green Live and visible to all visitors on your site.
Rejected Red Hidden from visitors. Kept in your records.
Deleted Gray Removed from the active list. Kept in your records.

Understanding Content Type Badges

Each comment also has a badge showing what kind of content it was posted on:

Badge Color Meaning
Video Blue The comment was left on a video page
Model Purple The comment was left on a model profile
Cam Yellow The comment was left on a cam performer page

Tips for New Users

Tip:
  • Review pending comments daily. Visitors who leave comments expect to see them appear. A long wait can discourage future participation.
  • Use the content type filter to focus on one area at a time. For example, moderate all video comments first, then move on to model comments.
  • If you see a pattern of spam from guest users (comments without a registered account), consider adjusting your site's comment settings to require registration.
  • Rejecting is better than deleting if you think you might want to review the comment again later. Rejected comments stay in your records and can be approved later if you change your mind.
  • The action buttons on each row change depending on the comment's current status. For example, an already-approved comment will not show the Approve button since it is already approved.

Troubleshooting

I approved a comment but it is not showing up on my site

What you see: You clicked Approve and the status changed to green, but the comment does not appear on the public page.

How to fix it:

  1. Go back to the Comments Moderation page and set the Status filter to Approved.
  2. Confirm the comment appears in the approved list.
  3. Clear your browser cache and reload the public page where the comment should appear.
  4. If you use a content delivery network (CDN), you may need to purge the cache for that page.

I get a "Security validation failed" error

What you see: A red error message appears when you try to approve, reject, or delete a comment.

How to fix it:

  1. Refresh the page by pressing F5 or clicking your browser's refresh button.
  2. Try the action again.
  3. If it still does not work, log out of the admin panel and log back in.

The action buttons are grayed out and nothing happens when I click them

What you see: All buttons appear dimmed and an orange banner may appear at the top of the page.

How to fix it:
This means your site is running in demonstration mode, which prevents any changes. Contact your site administrator to switch to normal operating mode.

I clicked a bulk action button but nothing happened

What you see: You clicked Approve Selected, Reject Selected, or Delete Selected but no changes were made.

How to fix it:

  1. Make sure you have checked the box next to at least one comment before clicking the bulk action button.
  2. If no boxes are checked, the system cannot process the action.

A comment shows "Guest" instead of a username

What you see: The User column shows "Guest" for some comments.

How to fix it:
This is normal. It means the person who left the comment was not logged in to your site. Guest comments work the same way as registered user comments and can be approved, rejected, or deleted in the same way.
