AI Batch Video Review

What This Page Does

This page lets you use artificial intelligence to automatically analyze and fill in details for many videos at once. Instead of manually writing titles, descriptions, and tags for each video, the AI reviews your video images and suggests everything for you. You can then approve, reject, or tweak the suggestions before they go live on your site.

How to Get Here

Navigate to Admin Panel > Database > Videos > AI Batch Review

Understanding the Page

When you first open this page, you see a setup screen where you choose how many videos you want the AI to process. The page has several sections to help you get started.

Statistics at the Top

Three cards show you important information at a glance:

Card What It Tells You
Available Videos How many videos are waiting to be reviewed by the AI
Processing Time A rough estimate of how long the batch will take
Success Rate How reliably the AI completes its analysis
Note: If there are no videos waiting for review, the page will redirect you back to the Video Management page with a message letting you know.

Batch Size Selector

Choose how many videos you want to process in one session by clicking one of the four options:

Option Estimated Time
5 videos About 2 minutes
25 videos About 10 minutes
50 videos About 20 minutes
100 videos About 40 minutes
Tip: If this is your first time, start with 5 videos so you can get comfortable with the process before running larger batches.

Processing Options

Before you start, you can configure two optional settings:

  • Auto-Approve -- Check this box if you want the AI to automatically approve videos it is very confident about. This saves you time on videos that clearly have good suggestions.
  • Min Confidence -- Set the minimum confidence level (between 50% and 100%) that a video must reach to be auto-approved. The default is 80%.

Note: Confidence is a percentage score that represents how sure the AI is about its suggestions. Higher confidence generally means more accurate results.

Action Buttons

  • Cancel / Return -- Takes you back to the Video Management page without processing anything.
  • Single Review -- Takes you to the single video review page if you only want to review one video at a time.

Common Tasks

How to Process a Batch of Videos

This is the main workflow you will use on this page.

  1. Check the Available Videos count to make sure there are videos waiting for review.
  2. Decide whether to turn on Auto-Approve (optional).
  3. Click the batch size you want (5, 25, 50, or 100).
  4. The page changes to show the processing interface with your videos displayed as cards.
  5. Click the green Start Processing button.
  6. Watch as the AI analyzes each video one at a time. You will see:
  • A progress bar filling up at the top
  • Live statistics showing how many videos are completed
  • Each video card updating with the AI's suggestions as it finishes
  1. Wait for all videos to finish processing, or use Pause or Stop if you need to interrupt.

Tip: You do not need to stay on the page the entire time. However, processing will pause if you close the browser tab, so keep it open in the background.

How to Review AI Suggestions

After the AI finishes processing your videos, each video card shows the suggested information.

  1. Look at the confidence badge on each card. The color tells you how confident the AI is:
  • Green (85% and above) -- The AI is very confident in its suggestions
  • Orange (70% to 84%) -- The AI is moderately confident; worth a closer look
  • Red (below 70%) -- The AI is less certain; review carefully before approving
  1. Review the suggested details on each card:
  • Categories shown as green labels
  • Models/Performers shown as green labels
  • Tags shown as labels (the first 5 are displayed; more may be hidden)
  • Studio, Series, and Orientation if detected
  • Summary of the video content
  1. Click the video thumbnail to see a larger preview image.
  2. Click View Details on any card to open a full review page in a new tab where you can see and edit every suggested field.

How to Approve a Single Video

When you are satisfied with the AI's suggestions for a video:

  1. Click the green Approve button on the video card.
  2. The AI's suggested title, description, categories, tags, performers, and all other metadata are saved to your video.
  3. The card updates to show Approved status.

Success: When you approve a video, any performer names the AI suggested that do not already exist on your site are automatically added to your performer directory.

How to Reject a Single Video

If the AI's suggestions are not useful for a particular video:

  1. Click the red Reject button on the video card.
  2. The video is marked as reviewed so it will not appear in future AI batches.
  3. The card updates to show Rejected status.

Note: Rejecting a video does not delete it or remove it from your site. It simply marks it so the AI will not try to review it again. You can still edit the video manually from the Video Management page.

How to Use Bulk Actions

Instead of approving or rejecting videos one by one, you can handle multiple videos at once.

Smart Approve (recommended for large batches):

  1. Select a confidence level from the Confidence Filter dropdown (All, 80%+, or 90%+).
  2. Click Smart Approve.
  3. All completed videos that meet your chosen confidence level are approved at once.

Tip: Using Smart Approve at 90%+ confidence is the safest way to bulk-approve. It only approves videos where the AI is very confident, leaving the rest for you to review individually.

Approve All:

  1. Click Approve All.
  2. Every completed video in the batch is approved, regardless of confidence level.

Warning: Use Approve All with caution. Lower-confidence videos may have less accurate suggestions. Consider using Smart Approve instead to filter by confidence first.

Approve or Reject Selected Videos:

  1. Check the boxes next to the videos you want to act on. Use the Select All checkbox to check every video at once.
  2. Click Approve Selected or Reject Selected.
  3. Only the videos you checked are affected.

How to Use Auto-Approve Mode

Auto-Approve lets the AI process and approve videos automatically, without you having to click anything.

  1. Before starting the batch, check the Auto-Approve box on the setup page.
  2. Set the Min Confidence to your preferred threshold (default is 80%).
  3. Select your batch size and click Start Processing.
  4. As each video finishes processing, the AI checks its confidence score:
  • If the score meets or exceeds your threshold, the video is automatically approved.
  • If the score is below your threshold, the video waits for your manual review.
  1. Auto-approved videos show Auto-Approved status on their cards.

Tip: Set the confidence threshold to 90% for the best balance of speed and accuracy. You can always lower it later once you are confident in the AI's suggestions for your content.

How to Pause or Stop Processing

If you need to interrupt a batch that is currently running:

  • Click Pause to temporarily halt processing. Click Resume to continue where you left off.
  • Click Stop to cancel the remaining videos. Videos that already finished processing keep their results.

How to Export Results

After processing a batch, you can download a summary of the results.

  1. Click the Export Results button.
  2. A spreadsheet file (CSV format) downloads to your computer.
  3. The file contains each video's ID, title, confidence score, and status.

Note: You can open CSV files in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application.

How to View Full Details for a Video

If you want to see everything the AI suggested and make edits before approving:

  1. Click View Details on the video card.
  2. A new browser tab opens with the full review page.
  3. You can see the current values next to the AI's suggestions side by side.
  4. Edit any field you want to change.
  5. Approve or reject the video from the detail page.
  6. Close the tab to return to the batch processing page.

What the AI Suggests

When the AI analyzes a video, it generates suggestions for many different fields. Here is what each one means:

Suggestion What It Is
Title A descriptive title for the video
Description A longer summary of the video content
Short Description A brief one-sentence summary
Subtitle A short catchy tagline
Categories Which site categories the video belongs in
Tags Keywords that help visitors find the video through search
Models/Performers Names of performers detected in the video
Studio The production studio, if identifiable
Series The series name, if the video is part of a series
Orientation Whether the video is landscape, portrait, or square
SEO Metadata Search engine optimization fields that help your videos appear in Google and other search engines
Social Media Posts Ready-to-use text for sharing on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Visual Analysis Details about the scene, setting, lighting, and production quality

Tips for New Users

Tip:
  • Start with small batches of 5 videos until you are comfortable with the process.
  • Use Smart Approve at 90%+ for your first few batches. This lets you see what the AI does well and where it needs your input.
  • After approving a batch, spot-check a few videos on your live site to make sure the titles and descriptions look good.
  • If you have hundreds of videos to process, run multiple batches rather than one large batch. This makes it easier to manage and review.
  • The AI works best when your videos have sprite images or contact sheets. If you notice videos showing placeholder images instead of thumbnails, make sure your video processing has completed first.

Troubleshooting

No videos are available to review

What you see: The page redirects you back to Video Management, or the Available Videos count shows zero.

How to fix it:

  1. Make sure you have uploaded videos to your site.
  2. If you have already run the AI review on all your videos, there may be nothing left to process.
  3. If you want to re-review videos that were already processed, contact your site administrator to reset the review status.

A video shows an error during processing

What you see: A video card turns red and shows an error message instead of AI suggestions.

How to fix it:

  1. This usually means the AI could not find an image to analyze for that video.
  2. Make sure your videos have finished processing (check the Video Processing page).
  3. Try running the batch again later. Temporary network issues can sometimes cause errors.
  4. If the same video keeps failing, use the Single Review page to test it individually.

Videos show placeholder images instead of thumbnails

What you see: Video cards display a generic placeholder instead of an actual image from the video.

How to fix it:

  1. The video may not have finished processing yet. Check the Video Processing page to see if processing is still running.
  2. If processing is complete but images are still missing, the video files may need to be re-processed. Contact your site administrator for help.

Processing is very slow

What you see: The progress bar moves slowly and the "Videos/Min" stat is lower than expected.

How to fix it:

  1. Try a smaller batch size (5 or 25 videos).
  2. Make sure your videos have pre-generated preview images. Videos without images take longer because the AI has less to work with.
  3. Processing speed depends on your internet connection and AI service availability. Try again during off-peak hours if needed.

Buttons are grayed out or do not work

What you see: The Approve, Reject, or other action buttons are disabled or show a warning when clicked.

How to fix it:

  1. If you see an orange banner at the top mentioning "demo mode," your site is running in demonstration mode where changes cannot be saved. Contact your site administrator to switch to normal mode.
  2. Make sure the video has finished processing before trying to approve or reject it. Buttons only become active after the AI analysis is complete.

AI suggestions seem inaccurate

What you see: The AI suggests categories, titles, or tags that do not match the video content.

How to fix it:

  1. Click View Details to open the full review page where you can edit every field before approving.
  2. Reject the video and edit it manually from the Video Management page instead.
  3. Lower-confidence videos (orange or red badges) are more likely to have inaccurate suggestions. Focus your manual review on these.

Tip: The AI improves over time as it learns from your approval and rejection decisions. Consistently reviewing and correcting suggestions helps improve future accuracy.
